Program Overview

The Bachelor of Science in Behavioral Science curriculum provides students with a disciplined understanding of how scientists think about and understand human behavior. In today's world, discerning how people think and act on the job is critical to an organization's success. Learning both the theory and ramifications of human behavior is vital to solving real-world problems. This course is an introduction to and survey of the science of human behavior and mental processes. There is a primary emphasis on the application of scientific reasoning and the empirical method to the study of topics such as learning and cognition, the biological bases of behavior, personality, motivation and emotion, social and group dynamics, developmental processes, and behavioral disorders and treatment.
