BA in Anthropology

4 Years On Campus Bachelors Program

University of Texas at Arlington

Program Overview

"The B.A. degree in anthropology has many advantages to offer. It can prepare one for graduate study and thus be the first step in a career as an anthropologist. Professional anthropologists typically earn a postgraduate degree, which qualifies them to work not only in traditional fields of university and museum teaching and research, but also in many ""applied"" fields -- including the National Park Service, development agencies, health and immigration services, education, and even private corporations. Furthermore, there are thousands of people in careers as diverse as international business, nursing, and banking, who say that the skills and perspectives they learned as anthropology majors have helped them succeed."
