As an economics major, you ll be part of a vibrant community of students, scholars, and professors who synthesize data to solve social issues and substantiate policy decisions. You ll be treated like a colleague: Expect to work alongside professors on key research and policy issues; many of our scholars are frequently called on to provide policy advice and media commentary. This program provides a broad study of economics, from micro- and macroeconomics to statistics. With these skills, you can embark on a career in international relations, finance, government, or public policy.
High School Diploma OR Graduation Certificate, Transcripts for all years of high school with a minimum GPA of 2.0, Minimum SAT score of 910 with minimum of 450 on Reading section, Degree from a secondary school located in a country where English is the native language, British / Cambridge International Examinations: GCE, GCSE, IGCSE, AICE, or the HIGCSE certificate with five O-Level subject passes, TOEFL ibT of 71 minimum on Academic Test with no band less than 16, IELTS 6.0 minimum on Academic Test with no band less than 5.0 US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Applicants are generally assessed on their preparation in English, social sciences, research and quantitative reasoning. Statistics may be particularly helpful for Psychology, Education Research, Public Policy and other research-based programs.
