Through the strategic advising, you'll develop an individual plan for future success in the field of economics whether you go on to graduate school or jump right into a career. Of course you ll start with the basics like macro and microeconomics and quantitative analysis. Then, you ll work with your advisor to select elective courses in the area of economics that interests you most. Many students choose to combine their economics degree with a second major in politics, history, international studies, computer science, or mathematics, while some students take minors in related fields.
