The Program in Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies offers an undergraduate major and minor, and an interdisciplinary honors program that is open to students in all majors. The Program encourages work in the arts and supports creative honors theses. Each Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies student builds an individual program of study around a self-defined thematic focus, integrating courses from multiple departments; Feminist, Gender, and Sexuality Studies majors may declare one of four official sub-plans: LGBT/Queer Studies, Arts & Culture, Health, and Global Studies.

Extracurricular activities: Estimated extracurricular contribution: 20–30%. Stanford looks for depth, intellectual vitality, initiative and meaningful impact. A student who has developed one or two interests to a high level may present a stronger profile than someone with many superficial activities. Projects, leadership, research, entrepreneurship, arts, sport and community work can all be valuable.Profile Assessment: Applicants are generally assessed on their preparation in English, social sciences, research and quantitative reasoning. Statistics may be particularly helpful for Psychology, Education Research, Public Policy and other research-based programs.
