The Political Science Department, according to U.S. News and World Reports, is one of the most highly ranked departments in the Columbian College of Arts and Sciences. The Political Science Department has more than forty full-time faculty conducting and publishing cutting-edge research in their fields. These accomplished faculty regularly teach courses for the more than 700 political science majors and minors.
High school transcripts, two letters of recommendation and a GPA of 3.83. If GPA is at or below the school average of 3.83, you'll need a higher SAT or ACT score to compensate. A minimum score of 90 on the TOEFL; OR. A minimum score of 6.5 on the IELTS; OR. A minimum score of 61 on the PTE Academic. US universities use a holistic admissions review. Beyond grades and standardized test scores, they weigh the strength of your overall profile to understand who you are as a student and a person.
Profile Assessment: Undergraduate applicants interested in law may choose Pre-Law, Political Science, Economics, History, Philosophy, International Relations or another field. Debate, Model United Nations, mock trials, student government, journalism, advocacy, research and community service may demonstrate critical thinking and communication.Advanced Placement(AP) Guidance: AP availability depends on the student's school.
