Program Overview

Students majoring in political science gain a broad knowledge of the discipline by taking advantage of our large faculty with their diverse expertise. In addition to three introductory classes in Comparative Politics, American Government and Politics and International Relations, students take at least one upper level course in each of five areas of political science: Comparative Politics, American Politics, Research Methods, Political Thought, and International Politics, Law and Organizations. A senior year Pro-Seminar and four upper-level electives may be chosen from one or more of the areas. We also offer a Public Policy focus major within the undergraduate program.
