This liberal arts degree in dance is designed to provide students with a diverse and comprehensive curricular experience, preparing them for a variety of career options in dance and other related fields. Students audition to be accepted into the program and have the option of pursuing a concentrated study in modern and ballet dance forms. The core curriculum prepares students with a theoretical and practical experience of dance, while the 15-hour concentration allows students to develop technical proficiency in the area selected.

Additional Information & Requirements

All students entering the dance major program must demonstrate technical and artistic aptitude capable of successfully completing the program of study. Students should first register to the University and then register for the audition. Submit your application and $40 application fee online, Official transcripts of ALL your high school or post-secondary records. English evaluations of all foreign documents will be needed. Your High School transcript will need to have a document-by-document evaluation including GPA. Graduation from high school with GPA of 2.5 with qualifying test scores-OrGraduation from high school with GPA of 2.6 without test scoresIf educated outside of the United States, the required official evaluationmust indicate GPA . Freshmen must score an SAT Total Score on a 1600 Scale: 1030 AND SAT Reading Test Score: 25 AND SAT Math Section Score: 490 -or- ACT Composite score of 20 AND ACT English sub-score of 18 AND ACT Math sub-score of 18. Validation of English Proficiency. TOEFL: 79 IBT or 550 PBT. IELTS: 6.5
