Program Overview

The A.B. in Studio Art at the University of Georgia is designed for students who are interested in exploring a wide range of art media (in contrast to B.F.A. degrees which specialize in a particular medium). Courses are available in drawing, painting, printmaking, surface design, sculpture, weaving, photography, jewelry, and many others where students use techniques and tools associated with studio media; build a basic understanding of the non-verbal language of art and design; organize visual elements both rationally and intuitively; and learn about the major achievements in the history of art.

International Application for Undergraduate Admission, High School Transcripts (secondary school), College Transcripts from each institution attended during high school, Test scores: SAT, ACT, TOEFL score of at least 213 on the computer-based exam, or a 550 paper based score, or an 80 on the internet based, A band score of 6.5 in IELTS, Letter of Recommendation from a teacher or guidance counselor, a School/Counselor Evaluation Letter.
