Program Overview

The curricular structure of the studio art program is organized to encourage students to study and explore a variety of media and techniques upon which later specialization may be based. At the intermediate and advanced levels, students are encouraged by faculty to express their own personal directions and ideas and to establish professional standards by the exhibition of their work. The culmination of the student s undergraduate study is the senior exhibition requirement. The Department of Art & Design actively supports the personal and artistic growth of its students by promoting the Institute for International Studies, which offers a variety of study abroad opportunities for MSU art students, and the National Student Exchange

High School Diploma OR Graduation Certificate, Transcripts for all years of high school with a minimum GPA of 2.0, Minimum SAT score of 910 with minimum of 450 on Reading section, Degree from a secondary school located in a country where English is the native language, British / Cambridge International Examinations: GCE, GCSE, IGCSE, AICE, or the HIGCSE certificate with five O-Level subject passes, TOEFL ibT of 71 minimum on Academic Test with no band less than 16, IELTS 6.0 minimum on Academic Test with no band less than 5.0
