Program Overview

The BA degree in studio art introduces the student to all the various concentrations of studio art. It is a broad degree based around a liberal arts education and focusing on studio art and art history courses as well as other liberal arts courses. The BA in art allows a student to combine the study of art with the knowledge and skills of another discipline, such as advertising, archaeology, business, English, modern language, psychology, etc. With the BA, you either major or minor in a 2nd subject. You spend less time developing a portfolio and more time broadening your knowledge. The BA includes a foreign language requirement.
