Program Overview

Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) and 3D Building Information Modelling (BIM) are increasingly being used in architectural and engineering firms, government offices, and private industry. Through project-based learning, with instructional presentations and laboratory work, students will learn the latest CAD and BIM software (such as Autodesk Revit Structure, AutoCAD and SketchUp), as well as critical thinking sills; trades skills that are essential in a career as an Architectural Technician.

Additional Information & Requirements

Grade 12 completion or equivalent, English Language Proficiency at an English 12 level or (CLB/CLBPT scores: Listening 8, Speaking 7, Reading 8, and Writing 7 or better). Apprenticeship and Workplace Math 11 OR 80% on VCC Basic Math Assessment and 72% on VCC Basic Algebra Assessment, official transcripts, Proof of English Proficiency IELTS- 6.5 score, TOEFL- 84 score.
