The Construction Techniques program is designed to provide you with the skills and knowledge needed to pursue employment in the construction sector after only 8 months. Learn how to build and perform basic carpentry work, work safely on construction sites, perform concrete and form work, conduct surveys and estimates, and even how to create lay-outs and read blueprints.
High School Diploma and transcripts,Ontario Secondary School diploma with OR Mature Student Status (an applicant lacking the formal minimum admission requirements may be admitted through the mature student application process. Mature Student applicants may be referred to College Counseling for academic testing and a recommendation from the Counselor to the Registrar for consideration in their admission. Mature applicants must still submit their high school transcripts and may also be asked for a Resume). 79-80 for the Internet-based test (iBT) or IELTS score of 6.0 with no band lower than 5.5.
Graduates of this certificate program can work in entry-level positions in almost every sector of the construction industry. They can be employed on a project-by-project basis or work for a construction company.
