Program Overview

It helps to explore environmental factors that determine the distribution and function of local ecosystems that extend from the alpine to river valleys. This two-week intensive course takes learning outside the four walls of a classroom and upon successful completion, awards students 3 credits in GEOG 202 - Geography of Ecosystems. The course emphasizes ecology, the structure and functioning of ecosystems and ecosystem strategies relative to soil and climatic conditions.
