Life in the oceans in Northwest community college

Life in the oceans combines biological oceanography and ecology in this two-week intensive field course. Camp overnight on Lucy Island where our region s most active seabird colony is located. Hop on our research boat to perform coastal plankton trawls and explore the intertidal zone on a kayak. We will investigate a mysterious epidemic which has been known to decimate sea stars.
