Program Overview

Do you want to increase your knowledge and understanding of the multi-disciplines of agriculture practice This HNC has been designed to provide you with the theoretical knowledge required to undertake the running of a farm enterprise.You will be given the opportunity to study in both a national and global context with emphasis throughout the course on agriculture as a multi-functional industry.Technical knowledge will enhance your employability skills and career prospects in arable or livestock farming,You will gain knowledge in crop production, animal welfare, health and safety, environmental issues and climate change.Opportunities exist for higher level study following the successful completion of the HNC,Part-time programme available with classes scheduled two evenings per week, over 3 years

1 Scottish Higher at grade C or above, or 1 A level at grade D or above, plus,At least 3 Standard grade passes at level 3 or above, National 4 or other equivalent qualification passes,Alternatively, SVQ level 3 in Agriculture with some work-based experience OR NC Agriculture
