Program Description

The Educational Foundations Certificate provides foundational knowledge in education theory, including teaching as a profession, learning and child development, working with diverse learners, basic instructional design, principles of assessment, and literacy. The Certificate includes coursework from the Education Instructional Core. These courses are required by all teacher education programs. The Education Certificate does not meet the requirements for a teaching certificate.

Eligibility Criteria

No grade less than C- in certificate courses.
