Army and air force reserve officer training in Birmingham southern college

Samford University hosts the Birmingham area Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (AFROTC) Detachment. Students enrolled in AFROTC attend Birmingham-Southern as a regular student. AFROTC activities include attending class and one leadership lab per week at Samford. Students commission as Officers in the United States Air Force or Space Force when completed with the program. The AFROTC program is an excellent way to enjoy the college experience and prepare to serve your country at the same time.
