This three-year Ontario College Advanced Diploma program prepares students to apply scientific and engineering principles to solve mechanical engineering problems. Graduates become familiar with well-known design standards, such as ASHRAE and ASM International. Using industry-standard design software, such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD and MasterCAM, students become technologically savvy and highly employable on completion of the program.
Official transcripts, Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent or Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) certificate or General Educational Development (GED) certificate, English: Grade 12 or equivalent with a grade of 70% or higher, IELTS-5.5, TOEFL-IBT: 80 (with the minimum of 20 in each component: Reading 20; Listening: 20; Speaking: 20; Writing: 20)
Graduates may find employment as engineering technologists in the manufacturing, aerospace; transportation, and system industries. Graduates may be involved in product design and product testing; electronics and computer manufacturing; automation and control systems/processes and other diverse jobs that involve the transmission of power and energy in mechanical systems.
