MacEwan University prepares you to practice as a Psychiatric Nurse. As a graduate of this program, you will receive a Psychiatric Nursing diploma from MacEwan University. You are then eligible to write the Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Canada Examination and apply to become a Registered Psychiatric Nurse.
High school subjects or post-secondary equivalents, minimum overall average of 65 percent, with no course grade lower than 50 percent, in the following high school courses-ELA 30-1, Biology 30, Chemistry 30 or Science 30, Mathematics 30-1, Mathematics 30-2 or Mathematics 31, One subject from Group A, B, C or D course, English language proficiency tests: IELTS Academic-Minimum overall band score of 7.0 and a minimum score of 6.5 in Reading and Writing, 7.0 in Speaking and 7.5 in Listening; TOEFL-Internet-Based Test {iBT) Minimum total score of 98 and a minimum score of 21 in Reading, 27 in Writing and Listening, and 26 in Speaking, Canadian Academic English Language Assessment CAEL-Minimum overall band score of 80 and minimum scores of 70 in Reading, Writing, and Speaking and 80 in Listening, PTE - Academic-Minimum overall score of 68 and a minimum score of 61 in Reading, 71 in Speaking and Writing, and 75 in Listening, Cambridge English: Advanced/Proficiency-Minimum overall score of 188 and a minimum score of 180 in Reading, 188 in Speaking and Writing, and 195 in Listening, Michigan English Language Assessment Battery MELAB-Minimum overall score of 85 and a minimum score of 85 in GCVR and Writing, 90 in Listening, and -4 in the Speaking Test
