MacEwan University History

MacEwan University is an undergraduate only Canadian university located in the city of Edmonton, Alberta. The university was established in 1971 and is named after Dr. J.W. Grant MacEwan. It was granted university status in 2009 and adopted its present name in 2013. Today, the university enrolls over 19,000 students.
