Program Overview

Modern policing requires officers to possess highly developed social and communication skills, practical law enforcement knowledge, technical skills, and the ability to connect with the communities they serve and protect. In this program you will build these skill sets while gaining vital community outreach experience through a unique program that sees students work with youth from at-risk schools. Training also focuses on mental health strategies in policing related to community members and officers; students will earn their Mental Health First Aid certificate in their course of study.

Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with a minimum grade of 60 per cent in two chemistry courses (one chemistry course must have a lab component), Academic IELTS: 6.0, no band score less than 5.5 / IBT TOEFL: 80, with minimum section scores of 20 / Pearson PTE: 50-57 / CAEL: Overall score of 60, no section below 60, High school (secondary school) transcript, High school (secondary school) diploma, Grade 12 English (ENG/EAE) (C or U) (minimum 65 per cent), Orientation session, Proof of current CBC (may be required)
