Durham College is based in Durham region of Ontario, Canada. The college was founded in the year 1967 with only limited classrooms, 14 staffs and 205 students. Durham College initially started with offering courses in applied arts, business and technology. But with time the college expanded and grew with more students getting enrolled in the college. Durham College now has acclaimed popularity over the years and has around more than 95,000 alumni around the globe.

Durham College Campuses are all beautiful in their own way. The campuses are know for their state of the art facilities and learning environment. There are two campuses of the Durham College that are as follows: 

  • Oshawa Campus: This campus is the main campus of the Durham College. The Oshawa Campus is the hub for student life as it comprises of various centers, academic buildings and recreational facilities. The campus has: Gordon Willey Building, student services building, center for collaborative education, campus recreation and wellness center, and W. Galen Weston Center fo food. 
  • Whitby campus: In December 2009, Durham College opened the first phase of the Whitby campus project, a comprehensive learning facility designed to train students in renewable energy and meet the projected demand for green jobs in Ontario. Later on over the year in different phases, the campus went through several changes and now the campus has expanded and gaining accolades for its skilled trades training, innovation and education. Durham College Part-time Jobs

International students can work on campus as part of iWorks, a program that provides international students with opportunities for part-time employment. During September to April the IWorks programs allow students to work part-time during their studies.

To be eligible for the IWorks program students must meet the following requirements:

  • Be an international student holding a valid Study Permit
  • Be able to obtain a Social Insurance Number 
  • Be enrolled in a full time post-secondary program with a minimum of 60% of course load
  • Achieve a GPA of 2.0 or higher each term to remain eligible for the program
