This two-year Ontario College Diploma program is delivered in collaboration with Hydro Ottawa and prepares students for entry into the electrical power transmission and distribution industry. Students have the opportunity to develop essential skills and knowledge, beginning with electrical fundamentals and leading to the design, planning, construction and maintenance of distribution lines.
Official transcripts, Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent or Academic and Career Entrance (ACE) certificate or General Educational Development (GED) certificate, IELTS-6.0, TOEFL-IBT: 80 (with the minimum of 20 in each component: Reading 20; Listening: 20; Speaking: 20; Writing: 20)
Graduates may find employment as powerline technicians with electric power generation, transmission and distribution companies, electrical contractors and public utility commissions.
