London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts

Program Overview

The course is taught through a combination of technical acting classes, scene study and workshop performances, which are closed to the public with the exception of the final devised performance. Classes in acting, improvisation, movement, physical theatre, voice, singing, textual analysis and interpretation, Alexander Technique, historical dance and period studies, and stage combat form a core part of the course content. The course culminates in a collaboration with directors that allows students to explore the creation of a new piece of work, which they conceive, create and write through a process of research, improvisation and rehearsal.
