Program Overview

Studying Mathematics and Didactics of Mathematics is intended to prepare students for their subsequent career as vocational lecturers or teachers of Mathematics in the subject-specific and didactic field. The bachelor s degree creates the prerequisites for a master s programme which, if passed successfully, authorises the student enrol in the Induction Service for prospective teachers. The training objectives are influenced by the intended educational and developmental outcomes at the school level, in particular the task of imparting subject-specific knowledge that boosts pupils critical and independent thinking and social competence
