The BA in Ancient and Medieval History is concerned with the European and Mediterranean worlds from the Aegean Bronze Age to the end of the Middle Ages. It aims to develop students knowledge and critical understanding of the political, social, economic, and cultural structures of Greek, Roman and medieval societies, which were significantly different from modern industrialised societies, but have exercised a profound and continuing influence on the subsequent development of European societies and cultures and many others.
Personal Statement: Write up to 4,000 characters of text that show you d make a great student, reason for applying(your ambitions and what interests you about the subject, course providers and higher education), describe any relevant skills, experience or achievements gained from education, work or other activities, Typical A level offer:- ABB - BBB including a B in History, Classics or Ancient History, The Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Skills Challenge Certificate will be accepted in lieu of one A-Level, Typical International Baccalaureate offer:- 32-30 points, with 6 in HL History, Classics or Ancient History or 665 in 3 HL subjects including 6 in HL History, Classics or Ancient History, GCSE English or Welsh Language at grade C or grade 4, Academic IELTS at least 6.5 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in each sub-score, TOEFL iBT at least 90 with minimum scores of 17 for writing, 17 for listening, 18 for reading and 20 for speaking, Pearson Test of English (academic) 62 with a minimum of 51 in all communicative skills, Trinity ISE II/III Test-II: at least two Distinctions and two Merits III: at least a Pass in all components
