Program Overview

Medical students who are interested in pursuing a combined MD/PhD degree usually begin the doctoral part of their program after completing two years of the School of Medicine curriculum. Thus they have already completed many of the courses required for the PhD in Anatomy and Neurobiology. After completing the doctoral program they return to the School of Medicine curriculum and receive the combined degree when their entire program is completed.

Graduated from a 4 year U.S. or Canadian college/university, Minimum undergraduate GPA of 3.0, 2 semesters each of the following premedical coursework (each with lab):General Chemistry,General Biology,Organic Chemistry,Physics, MCAT score (50th percentile or higher) or,GRE scores (70th percentile or higher); 3 letters of recommendation (at least 1 from a science faculty member), Personal statement, Resume or CV highlighting your work and/or research experiences, TOEFL pbt- 600 or higher, IELTS Academic: 7.0
