The Foundation Year in Fashion is designed to provide a pathway for students who do not yet meet the requirements for entry into a degree program in fashion. By enrolling in this four-year course, which includes the foundation year, you can gain the essential technical skills necessary for a successful career in the fashion industry, whether your ambition is to become a designer, maker, stylist, or photographer. In addition to developing your technical skills, we will also help you to build confidence and independence, enabling you to fully engage with the fashion world and pursue further education with us at Middlesex.
The Foundation Year in Fashion is taught by the same lecturing staff who teach on our degree courses, and you will benefit from a blended approach to learning that includes both online classes and in-person instruction in our well-equipped studios and facilities at our Hendon campus. Small group seminars and workshops are also part of the teaching approach, and the number of students who progress to degree study after completing the foundation year is very high.
Applicants are normally required to achieve passes in three GCSE subjects, including English, with a score of 4 (Grade C ), 112 UCAS points, Interview, Portfolio, Personal statement, Reference(s), for confirmation of academic potential and personal qualities, Resume, IELTS Academic test- 6.0
