The Foundation Year in Science provides a pathway to various science degrees within the Science and Technology faculty, including biology, biochemistry, pharmaceutical chemistry, biomedical sciences, environmental sciences, environmental health, public health, and nutrition. This program is also available for computing, engineering, sports science, psychology, and law. It is designed for students who do not currently meet the entry criteria for degree-level studies.

The most commonly accepted evidence of English language ability is IELTS 6.0 (with minimum 5.5 in all components).
