The program presents many challenges designed to help students develop the confidence and skills to push their creative work beyond the obvious and familiar. Students take courses in specific mediums, but also design basics, art fundamentals, and art history, to lend context and conceptual backing to the work they produce.

The basic requirement for admission is a high school degree and a minimum cumulative undergraduate grade-point average (GPA) of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale (or an 85% grade average or higher).
