The SUNY New Paltz campus covers about 216 acres (87 ha) in the small town of New Paltz, New York. There are 14 residence halls, most of which are clustered in two quads. The Haggerty Administration Building, a lecture hall, Old Main, Sojourner Truth Library, one main dining hall, the Student Union Building, Science Hall, and huge gymnasium and sports spaces are among the academic buildings on the main campus. The institution also ran the Ashokan campus near Olivebridge, New York, which was 400 acres in size (160 ha). Campus Auxiliary Services sold it to the Open Space Conservancy in 2008, and it is now known as the Ashokan Center.
