BA in Communication Studies and Sociology

The communication studies department and the sociology department offer an interdisciplinary combined major in communication studies and sociology. The combined major integrates the study of communication skills and processes with the study of social behaviors. Sociology and Communication overlap in many concerns: nature, production, commodification, and politics of culture; communicative processes and social identity, class, gender, etc. This joint major is for those who share these common interests.
