BA Hons Creative Writing and Screenwriting

Both of these subjects are practice-based - you learn primarily through doing. They are designed to support development of your writing, to enable you to situate your own practice within broader contemporary writing contexts and, equally importantly, contexts of relevant theory. Integral to both is your growing understanding of the professional and employment opportunities that may be available to you once you have graduated. Creative Writing aims to nurture your confidence as a writer and to support your development as a critical and skilful analyst of writing, whilst developing your commercial practice (writing for magazines, reviewing, scriptwriting, editing) and understanding of the publishing industry.
