On this course you normally divide your time equally between both subjects. In Portuguese, you study the Portuguese language and the history, culture, cinema and literature of the Lusophone (Portuguese-speaking) world. In international media and communications studies, you examine the theory and history of media and communications in a global context. In Portuguese, you will receive a firm grounding in the structures of the language through the core language module and pursue a choice of introductory modules in a wide range of topics. In international media and communications studies you will be introduced to cultural and communications theories, mass media and new media.
A levels: ABB (No foreign language qualification is required for this degree), BTEC: DDM, IELTS 7.0 (no less than 6.0 in any element).
