Additional Information & Requirements

An Australian architecture-specific bachelor's degree (or equivalent overseas qualification). Applicants are selected competitively based on their academic grades and a selection task.
All applicants must complete and submit the Architecture selection task. Shortlisted applicants may also be required to attend a folio presentation/interview.
Graduates of RMIT's Bachelor of Architectural Design with a minimum GPA of 2.5/4.0 are exempt from the selection task and are guaranteed entry.

Curriculum vitae (CV) including personal details, academic achievements, and professional experience
Design folio (5-10 pieces) evidencing capacity to demonstrate and articulate design ideas
Technology or construction folio (1-2 pieces) exploring planning and construction of architectural projects
IELTS (Academic): minimum overall band of 6.5 (with no individual band below 6.0)
TOEFL (Internet Based Test - IBT) for Australia: minimum overall score of 79 (with minimum of 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing)
Pearson Test of English (Academic) (PTE (A)): minimum score of 58 with no communication band less than 50
Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): minimum of 176 with no less than 169 in any component
Domestic students may be eligible for a Commonwealth Supported Place (CSP), with student contribution fees based on the Australian Government's funding bands; full-fee places are also available where applicable.
RMIT states that applications for international students are open all year round, but the official Semester 2, 2027 application and acceptance deadlines have not yet been published.
