Additional Information & Requirements

A bachelor’s degree of at least four years in a relevant discipline, which includes a research thesis or project, with a minimum overall average grade of an honours degree equivalent to the Second Class Honours Division B with mark of 65 or above; or
A master's degree in a relevant discipline which includes a research thesis or project equivalent to at least 25 percent of one year of full-time study, with a minimum overall average grade of an honours degree equivalent to the Second Class Honours Division B with mark of 65 or above; or
A qualification, or combination of qualifications and relevant professional experience, deemed equivalent by the GRC (or delegate).
IELTS/IELTS One Skill Retake requires an overall score of 6.5, with a minimum of 6.0 in each component, while TOEFL iBT requires a score of 4.0 overall (from 21 January 2026) or 79 overall (prior to 21 January 2026), with the specified minimum component scores.
We offer over 360 types of scholarships, valued at up to $280,000. Some scholarships offer one-off payments while others continue for the length of your course.

Country Requirements

India: A relevant four-year bachelor’s degree with a minimum overall average of 65% (or equivalent GPA), including a research thesis/project; or a relevant master’s degree with a research thesis/project equivalent to at least 25% of one year of full-time study and 65% overall.

China: A relevant four-year bachelor’s degree with approximately 75–80% overall, including a research thesis/project; or a relevant master’s degree with a substantial research thesis/project and equivalent academic standing. Exact equivalency may vary by university category.

UK: A relevant bachelor’s degree with Lower Second-Class Honours (2:2) or above, with the equivalent research component; or a relevant master’s degree with a research thesis/project meeting the stated requirement. A 2:2 corresponds broadly to the lower-second classification, while the Australian H2B is generally treated as a lower-second equivalent.

USA: A relevant four-year bachelor’s degree with approximately a 3.0/4.0 GPA or equivalent, including a research thesis/project; or a relevant master’s degree with the required research component and equivalent academic performance. UAC's Australian grading conversion places H2B at 6.0/7.0, illustrating the approximate level of the Australian requirement.
