Monash University was founded in 1958 by an Act of the Victorian State Parliament as a result of the Murray Report, which was commissioned in 1957 by then-Prime Minister Sir Robert Menzies to establish Victoria's second university.

Monash University Campuses

The Monash University has campuses all over the world. Monash University's Clayton campus is the university's main campus, which is located in Clayton, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. This campus is the largest of the Monash University campuses, both in terms of size and student population, with an area of approximately 1.1 km2. The Clayton Campus had around 41,000 students as of 2017.
