A bachelor degree requiring at least four years of full-time study in a relevant discipline, awarded with honours, with a research component such as a thesis, research project or research methodology courses equivalent to at least 25% of a full-time academic year. Applicants must have achieved at least a credit average in the final year; or
Applicants may also be considered based on appropriate academic qualifications and/or experience that demonstrate sufficient knowledge of the proposed or related field and the research potential required to undertake the program.
At RMIT, a Credit grade represents an academic achievement of 60% or higher.
IELTS (Academic): minimum overall band of 6.5 (with no individual band below 6.0)
TOEFL (Internet Based Test - IBT) for Australia: minimum overall score of 79 (with minimum of 13 in Reading, 12 in Listening, 18 in Speaking and 21 in Writing)
Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents and New Zealand citizens may be eligible for a Research Training Scheme (RTS) place, under which the Commonwealth Government funds their tuition costs and provides a full exemption from tuition fees.
