The Master of Global Master of Business Administration (Marketing) at La Trobe University is a two-year postgraduate program designed for early-career and emerging professionals who want to build global business expertise while developing specialist marketing capabilities. Year 1: Students build a strong foundation in international business and management through subjects such as Accounting and Finance for Managers (BUA4002), Economics for Global Leaders (BUA4003), Organisational Behaviour and Management Practice (MGT4006), Artificial Intelligence for Business (BUS4005), Ethical Leadership and Change (MGT5LIC), International Marketing Management (MKT5004) and Sustainability and ESG Reporting (ACC5008). This year develops the financial, strategic, leadership, ethical and technology-focused capabilities needed to make informed decisions in globally connected organisations.

Year 2: Students deepen their strategic and analytical capabilities through Analytics and AI in Industry (BUS5AP), Entrepreneurship and Innovation (BUA5ENP) and Global Business Strategy (MGT5STR), alongside 60 credit points from their selected Marketing specialisation. The Marketing specialisation focuses on responsible marketing practices, marketing strategy and tactics, social media and customer engagement, marketing metrics, digital marketing solutions and the design of effective customer experiences.

The Marketing specialisation is designed around contemporary industry demands, with the university highlighting responsible marketing, digital marketing, analytics and customer experience; the separate Master of Marketing at La Trobe is accredited by the Australian Marketing Institute (AMI), but this accreditation should not be presented as accreditation of the Global MBA Marketing specialisation itself.

  • Behavioural Science Laboratory: La Trobe’s laboratory includes screen- and glasses-based eye trackers, galvanic skin response equipment, facial coding, electroencephalogram technology and virtual-reality headsets. It supports research into consumer behaviour and decision-making, including marketing research.
  • Industry and research projects: The Behavioural Science Laboratory is available for academic and industry-based research projects, creating a strong environment for exploring consumer behaviour and marketing questions.
  • International experience: The Global MBA provides opportunities for international exchange, complementing the program's global focus and helping students develop cross-cultural business experience.
  • Marketing-focused learning: The curriculum includes International Marketing Management alongside the Marketing specialisation, allowing students to connect global business strategy with practical marketing decisions.
