Program Overview

The Master of Information Technology is designed for students without a background in IT. You'll build on your existing qualification, from any area, and develop the technical skills for a career in the IT sector. You'll study computing fundamentals such as database systems, computer networks and programming before moving onto more advanced studies in software engineering, intelligent systems, internet computing and web-based and e-commerce computer networks. The course is focused on technical proficiency and will provide you with the skills to build and manage computer systems, including knowledge of Java for programming, algorithms and data structures, the fundamentals of system design engineering and fundamental IT-related mathematics.

An Australian Bachelor's degree, or approved international equivalent, in any discipline. TOEFL Paper-based Test: minimum score of 575 (minimum score of 5 in the Test of Written English). IELTS (Academic): minimum score of 6.5 with no individual band score less than 6.0.
