Program Overview

The Master of Science (Computer Science) is designed for students with a computer science, software/computer systems engineering, information technology, information systems or an equivalent computing rich background. The course builds on a student s existing computer science, research and professional skills. Flexibility is built into the course and students have the opportunity to choose a specialisation and elective topics. The masters award provides graduates with not only the practical and theoretical aspects of computer science, but also an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities and an awareness of social, economic, cultural and environmental aspects of computer science in a global community. Projects and coursework have been designed to address topical concerns in industry and society preparing graduates for further enrolment in a research degree or employment in a computing related field.
