Curriculum Structure
Year 1: Students build their professional engineering foundation through core subjects such as Professional Skills for Australian Engineering Workplace, Research Training, Advanced Numerical Modelling and Advanced System Design and Innovation. Alongside these subjects, the Electrical and Electronic Engineering specialisation introduces areas such as Fields and Waves, Communication Systems and Power Systems Analysis, helping students develop a strong understanding of electrical systems, communications and engineering modelling.
Year 2: Students move into more advanced specialist study while completing Masters Research Project Part 1 and Master's Research Project Part 2, giving them the opportunity to investigate a real engineering challenge and develop a research-based solution. Specialist subjects include Industrial Communications Protocols, Electro-Magnetic Modelling, Electronic Systems Integration, Measurement Science and Instrument Engineering, and Electricity Supply Systems and Operations, providing practical knowledge relevant to modern electrical and electronic engineering.

Australian university three or four-year Bachelor degree in engineering in the relevant specialisation
A 4-year Bachelor degree in Engineering, or equivalent, in a non-related specialisation may also be considered.
Applicants with a 4-year embedded Honours degree in Engineering, or equivalent, in the same or a closely related specialisation may be eligible.
English language Requirements: IELTS (Academic) - Minimum overall score of 6.5 and a minimum score of 6.0 in each of the four components - listening, reading, writing, and speaking or TOEFL iBT: Minimum overall score of 90 with a minimum of 20 in each subscore.
Domestic Tuition Fee Options: Commonwealth Supported Place – AUD 9,536; Domestic Full Fee Paying – AUD 33,760.
Trimester 1, 2027: Application closes 15 February 2027; orientation is 8 February, with studies running from 15 February to 16 May 2027.
Trimester 2 & 3, 2027: Trimester 2 closes 31 May 2027 and runs until 29 August; Trimester 3 closes 13 September 2027 and runs until 12 December 2027.
