Year 3: Students following the longer pathway complete their remaining technical and professional requirements before undertaking substantial practical and project-based work. The program includes a 12-week professional practicum of at least 450 hours, allowing students to apply their engineering knowledge in a professional workplace.

Course Location: Perth (Crawley campus), Western Australia, Australia.
Applicants with a UWA Bachelor’s degree majoring in Engineering Science or a Bachelor of Automation and Robotics may be eligible for direct admission.
Applicants with an equivalent bachelor’s degree need a minimum UWA-equivalent WAM of 65% and prior study in engineering, physics or mathematics suitable for the course.
Applicants may also qualify by completing the required units in UWA’s Master of Professional Engineering Preliminary course or a UWA Diploma in Science with a major in Engineering Science.
Students entering through the Engineering Science pathway must have achieved at least a 50% weighted average mark in their bachelor’s degree or in the Level 3 units of the Engineering Science major.

Domestic student fees are calculated based on the units enrolled in and their area of study; students can use UWA’s fee calculator to estimate the total course fees.
