Materials engineering plays a significant role in a range of applications, from developing new biomedical engineering devices to creating sustainable energy solutions and better manufacturing processes and products. By creating new materials or improving existing ones, materials engineers make a valuable contribution to the design of new products and devices and the improvement of existing ones. You will gain insight into the processing-structure-property relationships of a range of materials, such as metals, polymers, ceramics, electronic materials and composites.
