The Master of Creative Writing, Publishing and Editing offers students an exciting and productive environment in which to acquire and develop essential skills in creative writing and editing. The degree demonstrates the links and shared skills between writer, editor and publisher as well as between fiction and non-fiction writing. The Master of Creative Writing is recognised nationally and internationally as one of the most exciting and progressive of its kind. Academic staff maintain a strong commitment to scholarly values, and actively encourage and support students in their passion for literature and writing. The School hosts a vibrant community of graduate students. Creative writing students make important contributions to the publication of School journals and actively participate in seminar programs designed to foster creative and critical debate. Staff are experienced and widely published writers in their own fields and offer subjects and supervision in the areas of fiction, poetry, poetics, nonfiction, screenwriting, forms of autobiography, and theatre writing.
