The Master of Tourism provides students with a broad understanding of their role in the field of tourism, both in Australia and worldwide. It will enable them to implement research concepts in their tourism field and examine how they reflect the arts, culture and/or heritage of a place. The course aims to produce graduates who will act ethically as professionals within their specialised field in the tourism industry and who have effective independent research and analysis skills in a variety of disciplines. It also aims to develop a framework for tourism management with the opportunity to apply this framework to specific case studies both on and offshore.
The equivalent of a three-year Australian bachelors degree. Some degrees may require work experience to meet the entry requirements. A reference or statement from the employer will be required. IELTS (Academic): 6.0 Overall with 6.0 Speaking, 6.0 Writing; TOEFL (Paper): 550 Overall 4.5 TWE; TOEFL (Internet); 72 Overall with 18 Speaking, 18 Writing; Pearson PTE Academic: 50 Overall with 50 Speaking, 50 Writing; Cambridge English: Advanced CAE: B2.
