Program Overview

This is a professionally oriented course which seeks to attract graduates interested in acquiring knowledge and skills in the evaluation and management of auditory disorders - hearing loss and tinnitus - and their consequences. It offers a variety of innovative learning experiences, including extensive problem-based learning, laboratory classes and clinical placements. The course aims to prepare the graduate for beginning clinical practice as an audiologist in a range of urban, rural and remote settings; to be a well-informed health professional; and to acquire critical skills in appraising scientific and clinical information which will assist their further professional development. Students will be able to undertake clinical placements in Adelaide or interstate, including in rural and remote areas of South Australia or the Northern Territory.
