Program Overview

The Global Health Care (International Health Care) specialisation provides health professionals the opportunity to advance their knowledge of the political contexts of health care, global health issues and sustainable development. The course of study explores the principles of policy formation and implementation, sustainable health care systems and their impact on population health. Students will examine contemporary, evidence based international health care strategies with a focus on primary health care in resource poor environments. The specialisation provides a supportive but self-directed learning environment in which students will be encouraged to explore, question, discuss and debate policy, processes and practices with their lecturers and peers.
