The course is designed to provide professional development for practitioners with backgrounds in gerontology, aged care or palliative care who are involved in policy, planning or the delivery of palliative care services to older people in a range of aged care settings. They will introduce the basic skills and principles of palliative care within a broader study of ageing, which includes an examination of different views of ageing and the concepts of ageing and dying in a global context.
